This week HR have sent out an information booklet via the internal mail and e-mail (or externally for people who are on extended leave from the university) to staff who are current members of the Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London (SAUL) and those members of staff who are eligible to join but have chosen not to currently. The purpose of this is to provide you with information as part of a formal consultation with staff about the current proposals for change which the Trustees of SAUL are putting forward. QMUL will begin a period of formal consultation with relevant staff from Monday 13 July for a period of 60 days. Staff who wish to participate in the consultation by responding to the current proposals may do so via: www.saul.org.uk/consultation. The website will also provide a benefit modeller which individual scheme members can use to understand the effect that the current proposals would mean for them.
