In May 2006, the Human Resources Department attained Investors in People status for the first time. We were re-assessed in late July and have retained this status. The assessment showed some areas of excellent practice including our commitment to the learning and development of staff. The assessment report says that "without exception, people (HR staff) believe that the Human Resources Department is committed to both individual and team development and that this has been the case for many years now." We have a number of matters to work on improve.
